GODERICH: Hospital Foundation Tim Horton's Smile Cookie Week!

The AMGH Foundation has been selected as a Tim Horton's Smile Cookie Week Recipient!

Tim Hortons recently announced that Smile Cookie Week will take place from April 28 – May 4 and
we’re proud that  the AMGH Foundation is the recipient at the Huron Road location ( Walmart/Canadian Tire).

All week long, 100% of proceeds from Tim Hortons Smile Cookies sold at that location in Goderich will be donated to the AMGH Foundation and we’re excited to be rallying the community for their support!


Tim Hortons Smile Cookies are delicious chocolate chunk cookies that are hand-decorated with pink
and blue icing to create a smile. There’s no better way to treat your family, friends, and co -workers
between April 28 – May 4 while also making a difference in your local community!

Official Plan Review Open House - Clinton

The community is invited to share ideas about their vision for the Municipality and Official Plan. Those wishing to participate in the planning process are encouraged to attend one of the following Open Houses: 

  • Londesborough Hall (282 King's Road, Londesborough) on Thursday April 10, 2025 from 6-9pm
  • Central Huron Town Hall (23 Albert Street, Clinton) from 9am-3:30pm on Wednesday April 23, 2025 to Friday April 25, 2025, Monday April 28, 2025, and Tuesday April 29, 2025
  • Holmesville Community Hall (180 Community Centre Line, Holmesville) on Wednesday May 7, 2025 from 6-9pm

Those unable to attend an open house but who wish to provide comments may:

FREE Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) Clinic

Get your benefits and credits - if you have a modest income and simple tax situation, you can get help from a trained volunteer to do your tax return for FREE.  Clinic takes place at the Seaforth Library (108 Main Street, South) on Mondays, and Wednesdays, from 10 am - 12 pm, by appointment only.  Contact Brenda Adams to book your appointment - 519.525.9485 or bd.adams@live.com.

Shinny (Pick-Up Hockey)

1:00 PM | 94 Victoria Street East, Exeter

Shinny (Pick-Up Hockey) is a unsupervised, self organized, drop-in activity that takes place at the South Huron Recreation Centre in Exeter.

Capacity

  •   24 players per session on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cost

  • The cost to participate is $10.00 per player, per hour. Players must check in and pay (cash or debit) at the front office before entering the dressing rooms and/or ice surface.

Rules:

  • Players under the age of 14 must have a guardian present.
  • Each participant acknowledges the inherent risks associated with hockey and shall participate at their own risk.
  • The Ontario Recreation Facilities Association and the South Huron Recreation Centre strongly recommends full equipment to be worn. CSA approved helmet and glove protection are mandatory to participate.
  • Participants are not permitted on the ice until the ice-resurfacer door is closed.
  • When the buzzer sounds, all participants must leave the ice surface immediately.
  • No food allowed on the players’ benches or the ice surface.
  • Smoking and alcohol consumption in the facility is strictly prohibited.
  • Any abusive behaviour, incidents, accidents and/or emergency situations must be reported to a staff member immediately.
  • Absolutely no fighting, body contact or use of coarse language is allowed.
  • No lifting the puck or slapshots.
  • Spectators must remain behind the glass during any drop-in shinny programs.
  • No boots or shoes allowed on the ice.
  • No headsets, cell phones, or handheld electronic devices.
  • Only use the designated dressing rooms assigned.
