Art Unplugged
Event Details:

Create, connect, and chill at new Museum’s new Thursday evening art sessions for youth!
Looking for a fun way to hang out with friends AND make cool art? We’ve got you covered! Join our Art Unplugged sessions for a chill space to experiment with different materials and techniques, meet new people, and enjoy some snacks!
- When: Select Thursdays from 6-8 p.m.
- Ages: 12 and up
- Cost: $5 per session – includes all supplies and snacks!
Space is limited, so register for any or all of the following sessions by emailing museum@huroncounty.ca – be sure to include name, age, session dates, emergency contact number, and any dietary restrictions:
- March 6: Pastel Cardboard Masks – Create a one-of-a-kind mask using pastels and cardboard, exploring color, texture, and meaning inspired by Black artists.
- March 20: Pictographic Painting – Tell a story through bold colors and expressive brushstrokes as we explore acrylic painting techniques inspired by Indigenous artists.
- April 3: String Art – Craft eye-catching geometric designs with string art! No experience needed – just bring your creativity and, like Mr. Neill, use wood, nails, and hammers to bring your vision to life.
- April 17: Collaborative Mural – Be part of something BIG! Each artist will create four paintings, then swap and combine them to build a powerful mural focused on protecting the environment.
